🌳 Resource Gathering

We've added tons of satisfying feedback when gathering resources:

• Hit Impact Effects 💥
  • Wood chips fly when your axe bites into trees
  • Rocks and sparks fly when mining stone
  • Leaves flutter when gathering from shrubs
  • Magical sparkles dance when collecting mana
• Trees now dramatically topple when chopped down! TIMBER! 🌲

🏗️ Building Improvements

• Revamped Building Mechanics

  • We have revamped our building mechanics to make standing up structures easier and more intuitive.

  • Buildings will now start with an empty frame that allows you to fill in the pieces like walls and roofs

  • Windows and Doors have been combined into pieces ‘with’ the walls so these are no longer two different actions to do (and when placing, it should preview this)

    

  • We have combined the small/medium building pieces into a singular Frame, and have expanded the sizes of Annexes so the same footprint as the Medium building can still be achieved but without having totally separate base pieces

  • The same original Frame is also used to build the 2F, instead of the 2F base being its own piece

  • Floors and Platforms are separate pieces now, to hopefully be more intuitive how to build floors vs build outdoors

• Re-designed Early Building Kit

  • We have re-designed our beginning building kit with an all new look and pieces so that it better fits the level of the progression and resources available at the beginning of the game, and to add a ton of building pieces that you’ve been requesting for a long time!
  • The new building kit includes these new pieces and improvements
    • Stair Railings
    • 2nd Story Annex Support
    • Half-wall variations for walls
    • 2 Variations for hallway roofs

  

  • Fear not, eventually the old kit will make its way back into the game and you’ll be able to build the style you’ve come to love.
  • While doing this re-design, we also designed with re-theming the kits more frequently in mind, and hope to deliver some visual variations of this base type soon!
